Ouch! You seem to have a pretty tough mailbox. Our mailboxes are quite often plastic boxes on a wooden stick.

Mine's made of bricks and wood, solid stuff. I still can't believe how much damage was done from such a small impact. I would've been doing 5KM/H tops...

One of the suspension arms (10) seem to prebent so it will probably bend really easily when the wheel is pushed from behind. But it is probably very cheap to swap. If you are lucky the other arms are still ok.

That's for a MK2 yeah?? If so, you're fantastic. I've been looking for a diagram like this that doesn't complicate things. Thanks heaps!

ouch man, but look on the bright side. At least it's not the front end. My buddy's little brother tried to steal his Chrysler Town & Country (Grand Voyager to you). He was 13 so instead of backing out the drive way he went fforward and smashed the front end into a small tree. destroyer the front driver's side of the car, wrecked the front driver's side suspension, and snapped the driver's side drive shaft, it even caused the driver's front tire to bubble so when everything was fixed it rode bumpy.

They are a brilliant, very underrated car. I do know a lot about them and little things that can make them run like new. So glad u love yours, and got it fixed :) This is my baby

Hey Indy tell me, does your ST24 feel like it runs out of breath above say 4000rpm? Most nearly all st24 owners and mechanics here don't know why this happens. It's literally a $50 fix and a tiny bit of know how. Will transform your engine! A tiny little transistor burns out over time and then the engine fails to open the secondary inlet ports that help bring more air into the engine at high rpm. If nobody has ever fitted a new one to yours then you're missing out on half the power your engine can give when you give it some juice above 3500-4000 revs.
Only wanting to let you know this cos most st24 owners here don't know about it (and I know you haven't had your car for long) and I want you to enjoy your car the way it was designed to run and it's such a relatively easy thing to do and for $50 it's SO worth doing it's not funny! If you know how to solder finely it won't cost you more than $3. (Or nothing... i have spare transistors from when i did mine!)
The unit that houses the transistor is called the IMRC. (Inlet manifold runner control) and it pulls a cable that opens a secondary set of inlet ports on your intake manifold when your car needs it the most.
People have sold this car because they think the engine is flat or has lost its power and it's all because of this little electrical part that has burnt out.
Send me a msg if you like otherwise I hope I've helped you in some way with this info :)

Andy,
I couldn't tell you for sure as I haven't driven one with all its power, so I don't know what it's supposed to feel like... However judging by the retardation of its previous owner (and at times, its current one) I wouldn't rule out needed it fixed. I'll gauge it properly when I drive to school in the morning. I have a few questions for you if you wouldn't mind:
1. Which part of Victoria are you in? Not stalking, just curious.
2: How long have you had your ST24? She looks so good!
3: Does your fuel gauge work × ? Mine doesn't but according to forums, it's a common fault with MK2s
I really appreciate your willingness to help a young ST24 enthusiast out because nobody knows anything about these things.... It was probably not the best car × No to have as a first car as she's quite thirsty, but I see myself as a custodian of her and to protect her so I'm gonna try my best :)

I will answer in better detail after work this afternoon but just quickly I live in East Brighton but work in Mornington, have had my ST since last Sept but have known about and loved them for a lot longer and yes my fuel Guage is working and it could just be the sender unit from the tank. I know a couple of good suppliers from the UK too.
I adore the fact you love yours so much and this is why I am more than happy to help any way I can cos yes they are a real rarity here And I'm a real enthusiast and a Ford fan :)
Can see your point about not knowing if it's working or not... we'll sort something out :) you can drive mine!
